… with a successful project for MTU Aero Engines in Munich. Here, the Bavarian KONZMEN provided their extensive know-how in the field of media supply to the leading German turbine engine manufacturer. The Munich-based company develops, produces, distributes and services civil and military aeronautical engines of all thrust and power classes, as well as stationary industrial gas turbines across the globe. By order of the Swiss company Sulzer Metco, the technicians of KONZMANN Energieservice GmbH provided tubing for thermal metal coating ovens. In these special cabins, turbine parts are coated with metal powder at very high temperatures.

The coating makes the turbine extremely durable and prevents wear and tear, which translates to a longer operating life. Four cabins were equipped with 300 to 400 meters of copper or stainless steel tubing, respectively. In addition, the Munich KONZMEN designed and installed the connections for various process gases, cooling water, and pressurized air to the cabins. Another part of the project was to build a gas control cabinet for a curing oven intended for operation at the Polish facility of MTU Aero Engines. The cabinet was assembled in the Munich workshop, shipped to Poland, and installed there by the KONZMANN technicians.

Overall, this was the third control cabinet KONZMANN has built for MTU so far.
